Re: Meanest Mommy...
That's a lot of restraint, well done to Ebony (and you) . I think Loki would just wriggle, then give me a "whoops, sorry about that" look and then eat them

Re: Meanest Mommy...
I managed to get more on her this time! oh the things we do during rainy miserable days when I first tried she kept really gently nibbling them off her paws and acted like they'd never been there but thanks every, ebony says thanks to everyone too

Re: Meanest Mommy...
great idea! They keep slipping of her paws though I tried to get them all up her arms she truly is the bestest dog

Re: Meanest Mommy...
Ah, I love her eyes, they're so expressive, you can see her just waiting for you to tell her she can eat them all
Guest- Guest
Re: Meanest Mommy...
Yeah she does! It's hard to balance on her head as she won't break eye contact with me while I balance them so she wiggles her head about to see me she's a very eye-contacty dog in general though

Re: Meanest Mommy...
Ahhh she is very well behaved, can just imagine something distracting Rocky and i would see them all flying off

Re: Meanest Mommy...
Brilliant pic and well done on the training , we just don't seem to be able to crack the wait command with either of our 2

Re: Meanest Mommy...
Thanks Daniel! Every day I do a little train and re-fresh at some point of the day just to keep her on her toes and see if she remembers her tricks! I add some new ones when I think of something cool
And thanks Dave! Her wait command was pretty hard to enforce as she's a very close contact dog and just absolutely thrives on attention and being round people so as soon as treats came into that as well then she was super hard to get to focus as she was almost doing back flips and throwing me every trick she knew! I finally cracked it when I realized when we're eating or have food I send her to bed to stop her begging which is in plain view of everyone and everything in the room and she happily stays there, so knowing this I actually used that to help me
I'd send her to bed while having the treats on my lap in clear view and I'd sit near her bed everytime she ducked her head down to sniff or take one I'd just say NO, when she sat back up I'd quickly say wait then reward her, after I knew she'd ignore them in my lap I'd hold one up ready for her to take and say no, wait and as she sat back and relaxed I'd give her a treat; I carried on doing this moving further away from the bed telling her to wait and if she went to move I'd just say no and reward her for stayig there, as she got better I could walk out the room repeating wait then rewarded her. I carried on doing this constantly over the next few days purely in the living room and walking just out side the door. I did this all round various places inside, making her wait in the hall while I went into the garden in plain sight of her ect. When she'd definitely cracked that I'd bring the wait command out at random occasions but frequently making sure I could reward her wherever I was sitting and waiting for you to put their good down and leave it while it's on the floor is a great test to see if they've full grasped it! But now she will wait/stay on command no matter where I am or what I'm doing with her, even when treats aren't around she just wants a good old fuss
I know that there's many ways to train dogs and everyone does it differently but that's how I taught my girl so sorry for the massive waffle, I hope this helped some how! Good luck
