perfectly edible. not my cup of tea, but humans have been eating anmals for quite a few generations now, and its not really done us any harm. do you get squeemish at the thought of a wild fox eating a whole rabbit? or even a dog for that matter. waste not, want not

It's an old picture and an old story, it esculated from a post on facebook which means it's instantly bullshiz, kfc responded in a news article and admitted although it doesn't look pleasant it was in fact a kidney and edible with no health risks, they apologised and sorted something out with the lad that posted it, personally I'd have given him a slap for thinking something that big would fit in a chickens head. Whilst I'll defend KFC on this one, it doesn't excuse the fact that their chicken breast is always too dry, their chicken legs are too greasy and their fries are always cold, if the "kernel" saw the sh1t they were spilling out today he'd be spinning in his grave.

Re: Brain in KFC (graphic)
I had a friend, several years ago, who loved brains on toast. Eeack!
I think they were fairly sloppy though (although I couldn't bear to look). KFC however is terribly terribly dry in my limited experience (tried it once and never again!).

KFC's owners tried to sue the Colonel (who had sold the chain and moved on) in the 70s for suggesting that the gravy was like wall paper paste with sludge added to it! At some point he also suggested that the 'secret recipe' in the coating had been watered down by them to not much more than salt, pepper and monosodium glutamate.
