Baby teeth???
Hi my staffy is 22 weeks old & some if her teeth have started to fall out, I am just wondering when her big teeth will start to come through, also her 2 fangs at the front are quite large, will they also come out so bigger ones will come through?
Re: Baby teeth???
Logan began losing his baby teeth about the same age and his adult teeth came out very shortly afterwards. It looked so goofy with his wee head and massive teeth

Re: Baby teeth???
I remember that time well Steff was so gummy, most of hers fell out within a week.. The new ones are through before you know it and yes, as Matt said already, all the teeth will fall out and be replaced...
Yay for you no more evil puppy needle teeth

Re: Baby teeth???
Have you started giving her frozen treats or freezing a kong for her to chew on while teething? The process is painfull and the cold chews will help alleviate the pain she is feeling. She may also be a little more nippy or tempted to chew things during this phase as well

Re: Baby teeth???
Shes got lots of chew toys but We haven't frozen anything yet, I am going into town today & I'm going to get her a couple of carrots & freeze them? If that works? ... Urmmm what's a kong?
Re: Baby teeth???
Frozen veggies are great. A kong is basically a hard rubber toy that holds up great for strong chewers. It is also hollow which allows you to fill the inside with food. We usually do a veggie much with a bit of kibble inside and it keeps Suki entertained while we are out. During teething the kong can be frozen to help with the pain. They have them at alomost if not all pet stores and amazon as well

You can get them in a range of strengths up to the black Xtreme for when she's big.

In reference to your topic about bulking up. From this photo she looks spot on for her age

Re: Baby teeth???
Yay for no more razorblade teeth lol. We are teething too, a fang fell out last night. The bottom 2 fangs should be loose any day now, I see the new big bottom fangs crowning through the gums. MatLogan mentioned to me today about frozen vegetables, which I will be trying today.
Re: Baby teeth???
You may find that the k9s have comethrough already, they are some of the first to go and get replaced.

Re: Baby teeth???
Snap! Vinny started teething heavily yesterday" lost about 3 or 4 milk teeth in one go playing a bit of tug. Ice really helps and I find supervising them with a rawhide to knaw on helps a bit too. I wish mine like carrots - it's one of the few foods he spits out!
