Sasha had puppies 8 weeks ago with her old owners and every time a dog goes to sniff her bum she growls to tell them off, she's dog friendly, she does it to my boy and she plays with him but he always wants to sniff her so I get a bit scared she might end up biting him? Is it because she just had puppies or is it that she just doesn't like it? Will it stop?

That's a very difficult question to answer. At the moment she's telling other dogs that she isn't ready to mate, but as you don't really know what her temperament was before she had pups it's hard to say what she'll be like later on.

Are you intending to get her spayed?

Its hard to say and I haven't had a girl which has had a litter. Moo can often have a growl if a dog is annoying her Xx

It's not my dog so I don't think she will be spayed, I'm getting Dragon neutered in September or so when I start my job, don't want to ask anyone to pay for it, so ill wait till then, but Sasha is my mums dog and I don't think she wants her spayed.

She growls every time a dog sniffs her bum, not just when she's getting annoyed with it, but she's never bite my boy or another because they sniffed her, just wondering because I don't want her to try bite my boy later on when he sniffs her, I tell him to stop sniffing her though then she growls and he walks away after a while he goes back though.

Some Dogs see having there bum sniffed as a sign of submission, shes poss a lil bit dom (and i dont mean whips and masks ;0) ) nothing wrong it that if she understands doggy language.
Marley was so * sure of himself as a pup i used to have to twizle him around for dogs to sniff his butt or hed get in trouble. Laska however will drop and roll on her back to anything...a male jrt couldnt beleive his luck as she hit the deck and submitted to him the lil tart

She doesn't seem to e very dom, that's the ONLY thing she does that you CPI
D consider dom, she even shared her toys with so e random dog today while we were out playing.

I'm not sure but I think she might still smell a bit "different" because she was pregnant because ALL dogs come to sniff her out of no where, we went past some good trained collies and they came straight to her to sniff her... Dragon only got on with her and another dog and I think he got on with her because of her smell, because all he does is sniff her really he never stops sniffing her.

Joe there are several organisations that do free neutering of dogs, if you are out of work or on Benefits.

Why have you decided on neutering Joe?

I'm not totally against it but just wondering why you have went for it?

He can be very dom, every time he has played with dogs or got "ok" with them he'd always hump them even if its a male, also the constant peeing when walking Laughing not that would be a reason for me to do it though.
Th vets said it would calm him down and that could help him getti g to know other dogs etc instead of humping or hitting them.

Although it is possible that you might experience some of these things getting better from neutering, there's also a chance they could get worse.

There is nothing proven to say neutering will decrease dominance and excited behaviour. I was told this by my vet too, but after really looking into it I decided not too. These things can only really be acheived with long term training.

I'd only ever neuter for health reasons and only when they arise. But at the moment Logan will be intact.
