a bit of banter bruv

a friend of my just said that to me i was ready to knock him out --->> BANTER & BRUV<<--- to most hated word ever

We say banter over here but not bruv! I don't really like either too.

We say both over here.

Thing is, I say banter sometimes, but it's a part of the English language, so it's the same for me as using any other word.

back in the day no one said banter well not around here and everyone is saying it these days

we had a joke
we had a laugh
we had fun

we didn't not have banter

If it's used as slang, it annoys me. But if it's used to describe back-and-forth humorous arguments, I accept it as a normal part of language.

Another bit of brit lingo. Never had heard of the word bruv but honestly makes me think of other things I wouldn't be sayin to a guy. Banter gets used here very infrequently. Is your avatar how those words make you feel?

We all have our buttons. Mine is hella (as in hella sick). Hate it when people feel the need to add silly words in front for emphasis.
