What have i done!!!!!
First topic message reminder :
It has always been in our plan to eventually have 2 staffords. We have Logan (my boy ) but i want him to have a friend. So i've emailed the lady from the North East Staffy rescue asking if she would consider us suitable to rescue a young female staffy. She has asked about us and our current situation etc and is going to do a home visit to check if Logan would accept another Stafford.
There is no doubt in my mind Logan will be fine, as he is young himself all he wants to do is play every dog he meets! Although it could be different when its in his territory!!
im keeping my fingers crossed!!

Re: What have i done!!!!!
WOW!!! Never thought i'd be missed that much!! Apologies for keeping you all in suspenders (and corsets!)
The initial meet went really well and they seemed to get on just fine, at home they pretty much ran around all over the place. Until my husband came home from work...
Logan adores H (hubbys nicknname) so when Georgie went to say hello he got extremely jealous. And even thought they got on well, he wouldnt leave her alone! Humping her all over, even humping her neck. So Georgie obviously isnt a fan of being humped by a mini staff ALL the time. Think it all got a bit too much for hercos when we went for a long walk he tried it on the field and she instantly pinned him to the floor to which he retaliated and that was it.... every chance she got she tried to grab him by the scruff of his neck (only playing) and rag him around like a teddy. He is tiny compared to her (he weighs 11kgs and she weighs 19kgs)plus she is a lot taller than him too. So i was worried she was gonna bang his head off something and i wasnt willing to risk it.
I phoned the rescue and they mentioned there was a gentleman (only 10 miles away from me)who had enquired about her last week too. I offered to take Georgie to meet him and his family and see how she got on with his male staff. The rescue ladies were very pleased with this suggestion as it would save them the petrol money of driving an hour to me to collect her then onto the gentleman. I took Georgie at 6pm to meet with him and he was very taken with her, and his male staffy really got on well with her. I think because he is a similar size to Georgie it might work out better for her. He said he would love a trial run with her so she is going to stay with them for a while and the rescue ladies are going up on Saturday to see how they are getting on.
We have decided that we need to wait and enjoy Logan whilst he is still a puppy and maybe look again when hes older. I will post a little footage of them a few pics i took!!

Re: What have i done!!!!!
Oh! What a shame!
But as you say, maybe it's best to wait a few months to let Logan enjoy his puppy stages before he has a playmate.
You must have felt very disappointed.

At least you also know that Logan will likely be friendly to another dog.

But there will always be another time, it's not like there will be a lack of rescue dogs, is it?

Re: What have i done!!!!!
you have to be really sure that it is the correct dog because Logan came first, hopefully it won't be too long before you find it

Re: What have i done!!!!!
Such a shame it never worked out, but like what most have said, you will get more chances in the future.
Well done anyway for trying to give another staffy a forever home
