Rescue Puppy slow to house train?
Hello just wanted to ask some advice.
We took on a rescue pup nearly 4 weeks ago and house training has been tough! this week seems to have seen a good improvement as all of us have been home more for half term. So my question is, as she is now nearly 18 weeks should i be concerned that shes not yet fully trained or is this to be expected as I think we're her 5th home?
Thank you x

All totally normal, even having a pup from a pup can take a long time to learn. 5th home and all at such a young age, thats really sad
You may find that this week is a turning point but just takes a bit of time especially for her to settle with you Xx

I think you may have answered your own question there, 5th home in nearly 18 weeks no wonder she is in finding it a bit difficult to settle in.
Be consistent with her training, take her outside every half an hour until she goes then lots of praise when she does. Make sure everyone in your household does the same thing and you should see the benefits of the training.
Do you have access to a garden as this will help to get her outside quickly when needed.
You are bound to have the odd accident inside still which should be cleaned with some non-bio washing powder to avoid her going in the same place again.

Thanks everyone! I think she's settling in well! And she is heading to the door now which is huge progress! We'll just carry on with the praise and treats when she gets it right!
