Need a indestructible toy
So my new staffy Boss has distroyed almost all his toys he came with, and then ones I have tried to get him. I am looking to get him something that will last, longer then a hour.

Hi & welcome to the forum
Only 2 things thats lasted so far for Blue is a kong and a nylabone. Nylabone looks a bit bashed but he's has it for months now which is good for a staffy and he's kong still looks brand new

Bugsy had a nylabone, lasted really well and he loved it. The only problem was he had chewed it to such a sharp point you didn't want to be stubbing your toe on it in the dark!!
I think his record for destorying a squeaky offering was about 15 secs!

Blue's best so far is a tennis ball.
I threw it for fetch. He fetched it, ate it and then run back to me for another

If you looked at Moos toy box she looks like an orphan, just shredded bits of toys!! She has a frisbee and bone thing by a company 'petstages' which has lasted, pets at home do them, I got mine online, and the boomer ball I guess, but there not really indoor toys
Hiya and welcome too by the way

Nylabones and kongs last really well for logan too. He likes soft toys but not he knows he can rip them to shreds and we end up with arms, legs and bit of fluff everywhere.
I like to give him cardboard too. he just munches it till its soggy and leave bits everywhere.

I'll look out for them and give them a try. Nice one
I'd have to take the squeeker out as Blue has a fear of them. (No idea why)

I read somewhere if you show them how to destroy it and show them what makes the noise it helps them overcome the fear. So I bought one ripped it to shreads took the squeeky out, put it in my mouth and blew.....at which point Blue did a runner

I will do some times but more for training to retrieve, my dogs have a large box with toys and can get them out when they want, my Angus is learning to retrieve, Amy, brings all the time, Sir Henry, dont let go, and Helana dont give a s---, she would rather catch a mouse and play with that.

I have found that antlers, Elk and deer are awesome! They can be bought at www.bullysticks.com and maybe other places I don't know about. My dogs love them and they last forever.

Holy crap, that's fast! Dempsey's got some chompers...lol I found some elk antlers in the mountains and the dogs have been working on them for several years. Even cut them up with a heavy duty saw so I had more of them. Anything store bought doesn't last more than an hour for me.

Re: Need a indestructible toy
I have an Indestructaball [tough plastic ball that is very noisy on decking] that keeps shearer happy for ages, gotta duck when he gets it up against the wall or panel fencing cus he launches it into the air.
Have also just recently purchased a Safestix[made from natural rubber] which is awesome, safer than some broken branch.

The Staffy Ball for the hardest player of them all. Developed for use with lions 'tough and thick' and a heck of a lot of fun just dont get in the way its hard, comes with 12 months warranty, for staffies in Australia, I have had one for 3 years and it is still doing the job.

Hi , We got Rocky the Chuck it balls from Amazon. We have had these for at least 6 months and they are still in one piece. No fuzz on them for the dog to get hold of to tear.
Here is the link for Canada

Good luck and best wishes.

Re: Need a indestructible toy
My experience is that cheap toys are the best!
We won an extreme ball 'especially for though breeds'. Right. Five minutes later she shredded the first layer off. Thirty minutes later there were pieces of a ball all over the place.
I bought the Tug-a-jug. A bottle with a rope inside. And the dog has to figure out how to get the treats out of it. After five minutes I heard a crack. A small crack in the neck of the bottle (but since there was a rubber ring around it, it couldn't hurt, yet). Ten minutes later she had the bottom of the bottle in her mouth (that was the part of the bottle you could screw off to put treats in it). And she chewed on a piece of plastic. The whole bottom of the bottle was disformed...'designed for extreme chewers'. Right.
I bought the Wubba Kong. There were folds on which she could chew, so within 30 minutes there was a hole in it...
At a very cheap store I bought a rope bone (don't know how to translate it, but it is a bone shape made of rope). Still lives. Same thing with the rope ball.
And a small Ikea mouse. Besides the tales, that always are gone after 5 minutes..
These toys are still alive. After months.
And an empty soda bottle also does the trick, but it will not last long. Cheap and fun for a short while!

So far this is the only thing that Tyson has not been able to destroy although it looks like an asteroid with all the teeth imprints. We also get ostritch thigh bones from the vet. These are porous so they dont splinter. Ty loves them and they last for ages although they do make a mess so best used outside.

Re: Need a indestructible toy
Got Ledger a Boomer ball a couple of weeks ago 'Wow' got him the 10" one was about £15 including postage its a bit noisy for my yard although I found wedging it in his bed kept him entertained (just needed to watch incase he managed to flick it out) but I took it to my parents who have a garden and he will spend 2+ hours chasing it around confused that it wont burst and they have this round flower bed which is dug out around the wooden surround so it frequently gets stuck in the rut and he just pushes it round and round there which is better than decapitating the other plants in the garden and finally a toy that their collie/springer cross doesn't want to steal
otherwise Wilkinsons do large knotted ropes for £2.50 and heavy duty rubber balls for £1 which are lasting very well

Very similar to a boomer ball - which is the only thing )apart from his stag bars) that Dempsey hasn't eaten!

Re: Need a indestructible toy
my 2 love their staffy ball ( or boomer ball as you guys call it! ) still going strong after over 3 years..
Jethro has a black extreme kong that he has had for years and years, but neither want to play with it lately..
They did have a wheel barrow tyre which is years old..but unfortunately Winston just dropped it in the deep end of the dam and I saw it sink out of sight..so much for that !
Their knotted ropes seem to last them a while...
