Icky pancakes
Icky pancakes
We had bottles of dried pankcake batter that you have to mix with water. Oh, the fun mum had trying to get them to cook properly! They were terrible! First one had big lumps in the batter.

If when you flip it it doesn't stick to the ceiling it means its under/over cooked

It couldn't be flipped. When any attempt was made to pry it from the pan, it tore and went all sad.

They were awful!
I used to make my own, but that's a pain in the a*se so I usually buy the Aunt Bessie's frozen ones. Well this year I couldn't get the frozen & I really couldn't be bothered doing my own so I bought these bottles of ready made powder. You just mix with water & cook - it's that simple!
Like * it's that simple! It just wouldn't cook properly at all. I shan't bother with those again!

Re: Icky pancakes
Yes, that's basically what I used to do, but I just don't get the time now! The frozen ones really are nice, but if anybody's tempted to get the bottle of powder that you just add water to..........DON'T!!!
