We had bottles of dried pankcake batter that you have to mix with water. Oh, the fun mum had trying to get them to cook properly! Laughing They were terrible! First one had big lumps in the batter. Tongues

It couldn't be flipped. Tongues When any attempt was made to pry it from the pan, it tore and went all sad.

They were awful!

I used to make my own, but that's a pain in the a*se so I usually buy the Aunt Bessie's frozen ones. Well this year I couldn't get the frozen & I really couldn't be bothered doing my own so I bought these bottles of ready made powder. You just mix with water & cook - it's that simple!

Like * it's that simple! angry It just wouldn't cook properly at all. I shan't bother with those again!

This is my pancake recipe, very simple even I can do them:

120g plain flour
pinch salt
Tablespoon sugar
2 eggs
160ml milk

Makes 6 pancakes

Mix together the flour, salt, sugar and eggs then gradually add the milk mixing with a whisk. Add a little batter to a hot pan with a little vegetable oil. Turn over when cooked on one side, simples.

Yes, that's basically what I used to do, but I just don't get the time now! The frozen ones really are nice, but if anybody's tempted to get the bottle of powder that you just add water to..........DON'T!!!
