Sitting on other dogs Empty Sitting on other dogs

Why does my staffie try to sit on my other dogs bodies/heads. They are both older and don't appreciate it much. Obviously as they aren't happy with it I take Harvey off from them, but just wondered. He also tramples all over them if they are lying down. Is this just because he's young and needs to learn a bit of manners?

I don't think its because they are young. Ours do the same to each other now. They just walk and sleep on each other its quite funny Smile

Ah right ok. My other dogs certainly don't think it's funny! HOpefully once they get used to him they will start to allow it more Smile Watching him this morning I think he just loves the contact bless him. Thanks for replying!

Lexi sat on our lab, but no other dogs. I think it is a puppy thing, it makes them feel like theyre with mum.

Lizzy used to sit on Frank. When they were playing, if she floored him (most of the time) she'd just sit on him when he was on his side. She thought it was hilarious...

Ruby loves playing with other dogs, but when she has had enough of a puppy, she has been known to sit on him to keep him quiet.

Chance likes to sit on some dogs, although he's normally ALOT bigger then them and squashes them!
