Is this normal after raw feeding?
Lola had her first raw treat yesterday, and this morning has quite successfully brought back up the portions of bone that she ate (I took the larger bits away after everything else had gone)
She's her usual happy self, eating and drinking as normal, and it was quite literally just small portions of bone. Is it just something that won't agree with her? Or a new thing to try and digest?
Cheers all

Re: Is this normal after raw feeding?
it was a completely raw offcut of a lamb leg (small skinny end), loads of meat and a slim bone. she took a good half hour to completely devour it, i was with her the whole time so i know she didnt rush it. must have been between 4 and 5 yesterday afternoon. she's only brought it up on three separate "occasions" this morning, and nothing since about 9 am

Re: Is this normal after raw feeding?
Was it close to her having her normal food, or was it a replacement for her normal food?
It may have been too rich for a start off. Have you tried giving her a chicken wing to see how that goes down?

it was about normal dinner time, so i gave her that in place. i'm not looking at moving fully to raw, just the odd treat/offcut from the sunday roast. and we dont do much in the way of chicken unless its breast, and only the butchers finest

Re: Is this normal after raw feeding?
If that's the case, then a large-ish bone with a fair bit of meat on it may well have been too rich. If all you're doing is giving a bone as a treat, then I wouldn't replace a meal with it. Just give a bone (without loads of meat on it) as a treat to gnaw on.

yes very very normal they throw the bone up they can't digest rather then it sitting in the stomach, the more she eats bones etc the more she will be able to digest!

I think for a first raw meal it was a bit full on. Lamb is very rich and bones are hard to digest. If you want to start her on raw then like with any change of feed you need to do it gradually. Start with some raw chicken breast in with her kibble and go from there.
