Weird...
Today we went out in the morning to the fields to train Dragon, like we always do but something weird happened... He wouldn't stop sniffing the grass, they just cut the grass a few days ago and I think they might of put something on the grass to make it grow quicker or something like that, he did come back when called but he wasn't running he came back but always with his head down sniffing the grass...
But something amazing happened also.... A lady with a dog that was very hyper dog walked past her dog was on the lead and Dragon was of the lead, there was a big ish fence so I thought lets see what he does since he couldn't jump the fence, well he could if he really wanted to but knowing him I was sure he wouldn't jump it... Well the lady stopped near the fence and said how lovely Dragon was and all this, her dog wanted to play so it kept making noises quite loud which made Dragon run towards the fence to attack the dog BUT when he started running towards the dog I called him and he came back he was still a little bit far away from the fence so he didn't ran all the way to the dog he ran a little bit came back even though the dog was making very loud noises I was so proud of him and knowing that I can trust him a little bit more now when it comes to other dogs, this just shows that his recall is getting really good.
The lady was impressed as we said to her that our dog could be aggressive and we was training him she then kept walking but looking at Dragon while I kept walking around and telling Dragon to stay and come lol I could hear her saying to her dog that she wishes her dog would come when called
I guess we doing good and hopefully with time and effort he will become more dog friendly

Re: Weird...
Well done on the recall, that's the really important command for a dog that's not too keen on others.

Re: Weird...
Thank you and yes it is quite important but if another dog is of the lead its basically useless, if the dog wants to play and comes running to him he'll probably bite the other dog that's why the trainer is going to bring his dogs and get Dragon used to being around other dogs and socialise him. Hopefully with time he'll get more friendly towards other dogs don't expect him to play with them but at least not bite them every time they come near, I really do think this will work he's doing amazing

Re: Weird...
Thats really good, this is how we handle Tali's DA and its seems to work brilliantly if we get into a close-call situation. Knowing your dog will definately come back even if another dog reacts is great as it means you can let them have a bit more freedom. Well done it really looks as though the effort and training you are putting in has paid off x
