Booster jab today.
Lily had a booster jab today, this is the first one she has had since I got her - her previous one was in the rescue 12 months ago. She has become very quiet and doesn't want to leave her bed andI think it is definitely linked to the jab. I did wonder if this was the norm and googled it and I didn't know there was so much controversy about to jab or not to jab. My previous two dogs - rescued together - had been to hell and back and the vet said if they hadn't caught what it was meant to prevent already then they were probably immune. So I never had them done in the 12 and 18 years I had them. But I thought I was being a responsible owner this time but now I'm not so sure. Does every one else have their staffie done?

Re: Booster jab today.
Logan was done on Monday and will always be done. It doesn't bother him getting the booster, he just wanted to lick the vet's ear!
It gives me peace of mind as he's forever picking things up on walks.

I didn't, they last 3 years according to some opinions, and some don't at all.
I have just had Moo's re-started, if she picked something up that could have been avoided I would never forgive myself.
So yes we are back to yearly boosters, it doesn't do any harm to keep them up to date Xx

Same, have read about the jabs and prob lies wigh the combo aspect and that some loose effectiveness quicker than others. Like janey said i too wouldnt forgive myself if they caught anything. Also marley was a bit down in the dumps when he had his boosters as well but didnt last long

My Vet always says to me "I expect Harry will be quiet for a few hours after having this jab - but I can't make that a promise!"
She has a good sense of humour my Vet!

Glad its not too uncommon and as long as she is all right I must say I am enjoying the peace. Gives me a chance to nurse my wrist which is in a splint as I have chipped the bone - after just getting over a cracked rib
