Agility
Has anyone done agility with their staffy? Was thinking of doing it with Mia when she is old enough

We've tried flyball and it was awesome, would have loved to do agility with Moo, go for it!

Re: Agility
Lizzy does agility, although she's been having a break over winter. Hope to get back to it soon. It's an excellent activity and I can't recommend it highly enough. I hope you two take it up, I'm sure you'll both love it.

Re: Agility
we were suppose to go with Tilly on Monday but work went wrong and I had to go away , at the moment we are hoping to join the course the week after next (3 of 6) and see how she likes it

Re: Agility
I would love to try it when ours is old enough , I know I will worry about injuries though but I suppose they could do that jumping off the sofa or out of the car .

Bella has just started - 2 weeks into a 6 week course. She loves it and it's great fun just wish we had started when she was younger - she's now 5 1/2.

Re: Agility
Kenny had a few lessons, and it was the best fun ever. We really wanted to keep at it, but work committments just get in the way

I think it's a great idea to do. I'd love to try it with Logan when he's old enough. I can't help but feel he's a bit too lazy for it though.

Re: Agility
Went with Ledger last year to a dog display team so they did the agility then group obedience which was great and not one of these places where you have to pay for 10weeks in advance but the weather was pretty pants so we stopped going but once they start up again near easter we may try again.
The club where we went for bronze citizen are holding an intro to flyball tomorrow I have emailed with a few q's but they haven't replied so not sure if I will go yet

Re: Agility
Molly and Duke have both done agility last year and we plan on starting again when the weather has picked up a little, was getting daft over winter kept getting cancelled due to snow or flooding ect.
Re: Agility
I do agility with my dogs and we compete all through out the summer.
By the sounds of one of your previous posts your dog is quite tall, so if it came to competing she would have to jump large with the collies etc

Re: Agility
I do agility with my dog too! (From your last post our dogs are basically the same size and everything) but ebony really enjoyed it! We don't do anything serious I just brought some hurdles and slalom poles to put up in the garden and she loves them so much we catch her doing all her tricks in the garden by herself!! I'm thinking about paying for some lessons when I know I can keep her attention around other dogs!

Re: Agility
Tilly's been to her second session tonight , jumps and slalom poles (not tight slalom) are ok but she won't tunnel It's the first thing the little bugger wants to do when she gets on our bed

Re: Agility
Madge loves agility; we only do it outside so waiting for better weather this year. She loves the A frame and high walk and specially loves the tunnel - too much actually and runs into it and hides whenever she can !

Re: Agility
I had a go with Dempsey, just for a bit of fun. He didn't see the point of jumping hurdles when he could just walk through them! Also, agility clubs want your dog to be a little bit obedient........

Tilly is a good little jumper , she will do anything for a treat , I did think she was pretty obedient until I saw all the other dogs , very dissapointed on her tunneling skills though however we have borrowed a small one to practice in the kitchen , 2 more lessons to go
