Horrible day...poor caley
So I get a call at 2pm from son who got home from college and caley had had diarrhoea all over the kitchen and been sick everywhere, i was nearly sick myself it was a mess....I rush home from work to discover my neighbours at the back of me decided to take the fence down and cut down a tree and put the new fence up, poor caley was absolutely terrified by the noise it has taken ages to calm her down.
She is still nervous, luckily she ate her dinner like normal and has started to play a little, I was so upset for her and thanked the neighbour for telling me in advance of this planned work had i known i would have stayed home. I hope she gets over this and is not traumatised.

Poor Caley, she must have been so scared! Hopefully she'll be ok as long as they don't do it again.

Re: Horrible day...poor caley
It was like an explosion, she must have been running everywhere in the kitchen/diner to escape and spread it all over the place however she never messed her bed up at all.
She is now fast asleep snuggled up with me bless poor thing is really jumpy though, praying she gets over it

Re: Horrible day...poor caley
Horrible for you all Debbie, Debbie's son and most of all Caley of course.
It would have been polite of your neighbours at the back to let you know what works they were planning, even if you hadn't had a dog. The fact that you had a dog on her own in your house probably wouldn't have entered into their thinking, especially if they don't have dogs of their own or are not dog-wise. For the sake of your future neighbourly relations, do try not to fall out over this.
As for Caley, it has been said before on this forum that dogs live in the present, and the chances are that Caley will forget about this in the next day or so. The fact that she ate up tonight is a good sign. Try not to fuss her so that she might think that something dreadful happened, and she'll probably forget about it all very soon.

Thank god Caley doesn't have our neighbours, they're always doing something loud and inconvenient . Poor Caley, hope she's feeling better

Ahhh poor Caley, hope she is feeling better today and no more noisy neighbours. They can be a pain sometimes.
