Re: Here's Lily
Awwwwwwwwww!! I want one. I had one for a day but i got it home and my cage was too small (i had really misjudged it lol) so he had to go back and i got a budgie instead. But now i have a huge cage so i will be looking for one in the future when my budgies have gone to the great beyond.

Re: Here's Lily
Lily is beautiful, but I think she might be a Lionel...
(I have kept tiels for nearly 30 years, they are wonderful birds, although I love my two budgies as well)

Re: Here's Lily
Hmm, if Lily is a grey tiel with bright cheeks and a grey underside to the tail she is a he. Grey hens have yellow barring on the tail. If Lily is a different mutation she is still unusually bright for a hen. 'She' is gorgeous either way.
I will put up pictures of Mrs Bertie (lutino hen), Obi (our new whiteface hen) and Billy (our late and much missed male grey with ghost pearls) at some point. I love my tiels.

Re: Here's Lily
I took her to the vet a few days ago as she was becoming a little stroppy and after checking her over he said she was becoming hormonal and put her on berry extract to calm her down and we have noticed she is starting to nest with the feathers that have started to come out. She was an avery bird if that makes any difference.
Re: Here's Lily
It sounds like Lily isn't a standard grey then (there are so many pretty mutations). Our Bertie is a lutino hen and her cheeks are so bright I was convinced she was male. I finally had to concede I was wrong when she laid an egg
