Proud of myself!
Friday eve, Oh sez ... "I cant get the washing machine door open" ... so I take a squiz, and sure enough, the plastic handle had snapped inside and was just wagglin about , checked the extended warranty, guess when it ran out ... 21/01/2013 ...
Eventually I thought, if I take the top off the machine I'll be able to reach down, and at least release the door catch .. and it worked ... at least we can use it for now right ... wrong!! ... I couldnt leave it there could I ... I decided to look into how the handle had broken, and what I need to do to fix it
Ok, looks pretty straight forward .. remove the door from the machine, take a few screws out, and prize the door apart .. then "TWANG" .. the bloody thing falls apart, and bits go everywhere
Much effin and blindin later, I reasemble loosely, and pop to a local shop the next day that does stuff like that, bought a handle kit for £12, got home, and fitted
Jobs a goodun
I love it when a plan come's together ... I managed to replace the door seal on the last one we had that gave us another couple years use out of it

.. its so damn annoying ennit .. but years ago it occurred to me that things like this arnt exactly rocket sience, (I can completely strip and rebuild a m/bike for gods sake, and do a lot of my own 4x4 maintanance), I'm sure I can fix a washin machine .. still havent got a clue how to use it though

Re: Proud of myself!
If that were to happen to me then I just jump in the car , go down the shop and buy a new one , we normally take a 5 year warranty on a wm and thats about the best they last in our house

That's strange neither has my hubby, but he would probably be able to fix it too.

Haha neither does my hubby. The other day I told him to put some washing on. Hubby:- what number do I turn it too? So I told him. Where does the washing powder go? So I showed him. Right, now how do I turn it on? He said. Would have been quicker doing it myself lol

Nice one! That was lucky Andy. Did you manage to get the door open on the washing machine before the food got cold? Or is that a Rumble Dier

Unfortunately not mate ... but all turned out good in the end, I found the iron in the airing cupboard, propped it upside down, and managed a fry-up
