working out the age?
ok, i dont know if this is going to sound daft or not, but how to you work out your pups age? shes was born 23rd sept 12, do you count each 23rd of the month as one month or do you count down by the weeks til it makes a month? sorry if it makes no sense, coz each month has different number of days, ive always counted downwards on a calender for example sunday 23rd sept, sunday 30th, sunday 7th oct, sunday 14th = one month. hope this makes sense lol! ive worked out that way she is 5months and 2 days, doing it every 23rd of the month she is 4 months and 3 weeks. not much difference but would like to know what one is correct thanks.

Re: working out the age?
Well, I don't know how others calculate it, but what I've always done is count the weeks until about 4 months of age, and then go - 4 months, 4 1/2 months, nearly 5 months, 5 months etc etc.
It doesn't make a lot of difference really, it's just what I answer when people ask how old my pup is.

Re: working out the age?
If they were born say 3rd Feb I would say they were 1month on the 3rd of March and 2month on 3rd of April and so on. I pretty sure that's how the vets do it

Re: working out the age?
I used to go by the weeks making up a month, but I lost count and couldn't be bothered so now I just go by the months

Re: working out the age?
I think I tend to go by weeks until about 16 weeks & then work in months, or half months if that makes sense. So 14, 15, 16 weeks and then 4 & a half months, 5 months, 5 & a half months etc.
