To the people who left the very scared staffy outside tescos
to the cold heartless people who left a very scared & very cold staffy
tied up outside tescos in chapeltown
you left this poor scared out its wits dog outside tescos i hope your very
proud of yourselves if you couldn't cope with this dog you should have thought about all this BEFORE getting it if you had one bit of doubt that you couldn't
cope you shouldn't have got it in the 1st place
what are you going to do now go & get ANOTHER staffy puppy thinking it will
all be ok from an i don't care who they go to breeder so long as you give me the
money
my daughter was in tears because it upset her so much & tony was heartbroken
just looking at it he offered to bring it home taking a big risk hoping it would be ok with our dogs but the staff at tescos had called someone to come for it
probiley the dog warden so that will probiley be ANOTHER staffy in the dog pound waiting its 7 heartbreaking days for you to come for it but guess what
you will never come will you, you spineless gutless tx@x & it will have a chance
being rehomed but if no one wants it it will be put to sleep yeah you should be
relay proud of yourself
.......but what do you care eh its out of your hands now isn't it......
you know what they say don't you ''KARMA'' what goes around comes around
& i mean that for of you who have done this to any animal
The couple working at tescos called the rspca & they told the couple that
to leave it tied up outside if the shop
was shut by the time they got there & the couple didn't
want to do that so was going to take it home & have someone
collect it in the morning
now not to have a go but what happens if they had of done that &
someone who are wanting bait dogs saw the staffy ??
you just know what would have happened to it
i don't like to moan about the rspca because they do a great job
in saving lives of numerous animals but you can see my thinking
rant over

Re: To the people who left the very scared staffy outside tescos
i run a facebook page for rescue dogs i see that many come in to rescues
]it makes my heart sink & not all of these wonderful dogs make it to being
rehomed quite a few are pts purely because lack of space not because of
aggression problems,....just because their is no room at the inn
they are given 7 days in the dog pound (death row dogs)
if no one claims them after that they are pts its so sad that's why i got so
upset & had to vent somewhere
by the way i'm not a rescue organisation i just try & help rescues by putting
dogs on this facebook page here it is if you fancy a look

Please feel free to rant! We appreciate your concern for a poor abandoned dog.
And by all means stay & chat from time to time - just because you don't own a stafford doesn't mean you're not welcome. ><

P.S. I'm afraid that because we've had a lot of problems with fb we don't allow fb links on the forum. However, please feel free to post in our rescue section any dogs you feel might benefit from it!

do you know if the RSPCA have collected him/her?
If it was Chapel town in Leeds someone would have probably stolen him before anyone realised he had been left

This is so sad, I was very upset about this story, I have always been afraid of my dog being taken and used for fighting, we were approached by gypsies when he was bout 5 months old at a local market, they followed us and offered to pay us money for him. When we refused they followed us in two cars , We were so afraid we took him back to our car and locked the doors. Please take home any lone staffies.

Re: To the people who left the very scared staffy outside tescos
I awoke in a cold sweat this morning. I had a dream in which I met a lady and her dog from our staffy classes. I was making a fuss of her dog when she asked me where Bacchus was and I suddenly remembered I'd left him tied up outside the shops in a rough area and forgotten. So glad it was just a dream.
How could someone intentionally abandon their dog like that. What must have been going through that poor dog's mind. There are organisations out there who would help.

That is absolutely disgusting!!! Some people do not realies that a lot of time, money and patience goes into caring for a dog and bringing it up! It comes as a shock to some but they should stick it out! That dog is THEIR responsibility no one elses! Poor little thing, it breaks my heart

Re: To the people who left the very scared staffy outside tescos
This is a heartbreaking story and we can only hope that the outcome for this abadonned dog was a good one, in which it was taken to a rescue.
I'm afraid that the Tesco staff would have seen it as nuisance ( customers making a fuss) and be glad to have seen it off the premises, no matter to where. There may have been caring people amongst this staff, but we can't count on it. And even if there were, they may not know what became of this dog. We can only hope for the best.

Yeah I know. I suppose you could ring the local dog rescues and ask if they have taken in a dog of that description - long shot I know.

Re: To the people who left the very scared staffy outside tescos
hubby forgot to tell me until now when he went to
tescos yesterday the lad who left the dog tied up
outside turned up for it the next day only to be told
it had been taken to the police dog pound & if he
wanted it back to go there the staff who worked in tescos
found it hard to not say anything to him
the lad who left the staffy tied up outside tried to say
it was his mate that had left it outside tescos
when the staff could clearly see it was him on ctv
he said he wanted it back as he missed it
if they have him on ctv can't they prosecute him ?

Re: To the people who left the very scared staffy outside tescos
That would be up to the RSPCA. Whether they would bother with a prosecution or not.......well, I don't have a lot of faith in the RSPCA.
I think they would be within their rights to ask the lad to sign the dog over to them, though, as it was obviously a deliberate case of neglect/abuse.
