one year on

It's one year on since Skye arrived on our doorstep wrapped up in a fleece in a little cardboard box after being handed in to Govan police station in Glasgow at midnight the night before. We have our old dog-walker, Laura, who is now a policewoman in Govan, to thank for bringing her to us.

That was a quick year ago, and we can hardly believe how great Skye has turned out to be. She is a happy, affectionate and non-stop wee dog who gets on well with everyone she meets - dogs or people - and everyone likes her right back.

We often think what might have happened if we hadn't taken her in - being a wee Staffie, with their unfair reputation, she might have faced a pretty bleak future if she had been turned over to the dog and cat home - there are too many unwanted staffies in there and she might not have made it out.

We haven't looked back since getting her - lots and lots of hard work getting her socialised and training has paid off.

We can't imagine life without her now...

She is and was so pretty! That's also a great idea of putting the two photos together.
