Really want her :(
The only 2 reasons I'm not getting her is because...
1) My boy doesn't get on with other dogs
2) She's to far away, although I guess I could manage to get there just to get her
Here's a picture, I think she's stunning really wish I could get her right this moment.
Really wish I could get this beauty

Re: Really want her :(
She's for sale £600 and near Liverpool, from what the owner says she's good with kids and other pets but he/she is working to much therefor they don't have time for the dog, she's a real stunner if they lived near me I'd go meet them and try to introduce my boy to the dog and walk them together till they start getting on and then buy her, but they live nearly 5 hours away from me so me introducing my boy to her and go on walks would be basically impossible unless they're up to drive down here just a shame she's so far

Re: Really want her :(
Yea probably most people say they're to ''busy'' but I'd never be to ''busy'' for my dogs, to me a dog is just like a kid, you buy it you have to look after it and take care of it, I'd never ever sell a dog of mine or give it away.Hayley wrote:aka - can't be arsed with her anymore and would rather have the money.

If I worked to much I'd get my mum or someone to look after the dogs while at work.
If I wanted to move and the house didn't allow dogs, I wouldn't move...
Just a shame some people buy dogs and then end up giving them away for ''stupid'' reasons, but then again there are some people I guess who actually can't have the dog anymore and have to sell it (but very rarely), most people who end up selling their dogs just can't be arsed with it anymore and don't make an effort.

Re: Really want her :(
I was going to tell them to lower the price actually
For me £600 is to much + she's not a pup and she's had other owners for almost 2 years, which I guess in a way would be harder to train (as I've heard pups are easier to train than adult dogs).
Well I'm meant to go holidays sometime soon so maybe I'll go to liverpool just to meet her and take my boy with me, so they can get to know each other etc, if only she lived near me... I'd be there now
Also I've noticed her tail is very different from my boys tail? her's is shorter and thick?

Re: Really want her :(
I got my boy of someone when he was a year and 5 months or so, at the time we thought he was good with other dogs because he was fine with my mums dog, but then we took him of the lead at a field and he ran towards a dog that was going past and bite him, luckily we got there quick enough to stop him. At that time he wasn't has bad has he is now. My mum says it's because we ''spoil'' him so therefor when he gets out and sees another dog he gets jealous causing him to attack the other dog.
But hopefully this will all change as we taking him to classes every Saturday starting next Saturday hopefully once he's not as aggressive, I'll probably end up buying another staffy I just love them :lol they're an amazing dog.

Joe it's hard once you have had staffy love every dog we see we want, Save your money and go to a rehoming center, give them £120 for a dog that needs a rescue and £480 donation and rescue a dozen more

Re: Really want her :(
I just found their website, from what I can see they have loads of staffy's and they breed them. I think she's had pups and now they want to sell her. Really feel sorry for the poor girl...
I most admit though, they've got some nice staffy's there, but I can almost bet anything that they don't give them all love and affection like they should, they just want to make money of them, which is sad.

Also how do I go about re homing a dog from a rescue center? I found a pup staffy where I live for adoption, but I don't know what to do?
Do you have to pay? If so how much normally?

My older dog is from a rescue, we just seen her one day and went to enquire about her, they set dates etc to come out and do a home check. Make sure your house is adequate for a dog, secure garden etc!
My local rescue is £150 to rehome a dog I'm sure!

Re: Really want her :(
Save your money and get a rescue dog if Dragon ever gets better with dogs. Even though you'd be giving a dog a good home if it's from an owner who can't be bothered, you'd be contributing to the cause of giving them money, giving them profit from the stress they cause the dog. I got Loki from a breeder who lied about who his dad was, irresponsible, etc. I don't regret it because Loki is the best demon ever but I wouldn't do it again. The guy we got him from had well-behaved, healthy-looking family dogs and he definitely cared about the dogs and puppies, but a lot see them as just money-making things. Don't look at those places, you'll end up with 50 dogs

Re: Really want her :(
Pretty dog. But, asking £600 for a dog that you have given up on is ridiculous. I understand asking money to avoid bad owners/dog fighters taking her but that amount is silly.
I saw a litter of red Stafford pups advertised the other day for £1,250 . Some people are insane.

Re: Really want her :(
PLEASE consider a rescue, rather than giving money to a breeder. We have two staffies on death row near here, as no rescue will take them. Rescues have loads of staffies and can't rehome them so won't take any more.
I know that doesn't help this lovely looking dog, but maybe the owner wouldn't breed so many pups if they couldn't sell them...

Totally agree with previous posts sboput rescues, I would deff put my money into a dog who needs a forvever home. you would save a life and also this would make you feel good about your self
I am not into breeding, high end showing and blood lines but thats just my opinion. Have a good look around your rescues, get your little happy chappy orientated with other dogs and see how that goes

Wonder if her tail has been damaged abd partly had to be amputated ?
It's very sad to see, I know of a so called breeder who had a gorgeous red staffy, she had a litter, and he sold the bitch whilst she still had pups
Thankfully she's in a fantastic loving home now.

This is why im anti breeding etc (no offence to people who do) to me a dog has always been a family pet regardless of breeding lines etc, since having tyke its opened my eyes up to a whole new world! but yes the poor lass deff looks like she is cowering and she has bascialy served her use to them and they want to retrieve money on her and to be honest theres a high chance that they would not vet the new owners house or be bothered were she went but again thats my opionion

I know I don't earn enough to support two staffs including with pet insurance. I don't have enough room for 2 either.
It's a question everyone needs to ask themselves before getting another really.

It looks like a full tail to me. Just some bad breeding and making a stumpy tail. You wouldn't show her put it that way.

As for the cowering, i don't think it is a fair assumption. I have many picture of lexi looking like that, on sofas, garden benches, on top of a kennel she jumped onto herself etc. It isn't a fear thing its a "ive got up here and not sure im supposed to be!" in lexis case anyway.

I agree totally! Logan walks through puddles like that because for whatever reason they totally confuse him.
I also think that it was an assumption that she is clearly a breeding machine who has served her worth. Def a possibilty but at the same time not a certainty.
Just an unfortunate unwanted dog like so many others.

Re: Really want her :(
The only thing is, the RSPCA where I live has no staffys what so ever, and I really don't want to be getting any other type of breed, mainly because I really just love staffys, althought I looked in another RSPCA kinda near me which has a lot of staffys, now the problem is... they're mostly not good with dogs and kids (from what they say I was shocked, I clicked in pretty much all the staffys and most of them said they werent good with other dogs or kids.. ), since my sister has a little baby and my girlfriends sister also has 2 kids, it would be very hard to get a dog that doesn't like kids not to mention they wouldn't let me get the staffy if I have another dog or live with kids over 6 years old.
No Dragon hasn't had his balls chopped although I've thought about it and really considering in doing it, has the vets said it would calm him down quite a lot making the process of him liking other dogs easier.
My mum said she seen this staffy for adoption near us (female staffy), I might see if I can try get it, the only problem is they said she'll only be up for adoption for 2 weeks or something like that (from what my mum said), so it would be basically impossible to get Dragon and her to get along within 2 weeks, but nothing is impossible I guess, need to see where she is located.

Dontt forget its not a race, there are thousands of rescue all over theres about 20 around me with out traveling far. I would recomend for dragon to go for the snip, we had tyke done as soon as we could, i think this has helped all round really. jusr focus on dragon and when and if the times is right you willhave no problem finidng a rescue

Re: Really want her :(
Yea yea that's the plan First Dragon has to get better with other dogs and then I'll probably get another dog, but of course I wouldn't get another staffy if Dragon didn't get on with it... Because they'd end up fighting and stopping Dragon is very hard when he bites (happened before and it took us nearly 5 minutes to split up the dogs).
