Re: Still snowing.....................
Looks like Kenny is really enjoying the snow too, Rocky has been loving it too.
I notice he has the Julius K9 Harness, how have you been getting on with it ?
Rocky has one but he can get out it, which was a bit of a concern for us , we then changed to the Ezydog harness which he has been fine with, so far

Re: Still snowing.....................
no dilemma, Moneys a little tight atm. I think we going to opt for the injection form of castration. you have 2 choices. An injection every 6 weeks or an injection every 6 months. Also, I kinda like him how he is, but it is unfair for him. I dont think its fare for him to react to bitches in season and then not having a go. He def getting done, but keeping his bitsinez maria wrote:Thanks just happened to notice you havent had him "Done" I am in a dilemma as wether to have Vinnie done but dont really like messing with natures way. Re: Still snowing.....................
Forgot to add. I'll be honest, we got Kenny as a pet only. His breeder kept pestering us to "show" him, which we did. There was alot of interest in Kenny being used at stud. We were in two minds as we didnt want to add to the growing list of unwanted staffys. While we were concidering it, we began looking into the pro's and con's of studding/breeding. Unknown to us, Kenny hadnt been health tested like his breeder had told us. So we thought we'd do the right thing and test ourselfs. Even if we decided not to use Kenny, atleast we'd know his health status. Sadly, Kenny came back PHPV Affected. This was enough for us. There's noway I'd allow him to be used, as he WOULD produce PHPV affected litter. I would never dream of allowing this to happen. I love the breed far to much. Yes, it would of been nice to see Kenny's offspring, and even nicer to know that even after his day, I could still see his offspring/family.

I must admit I dont think it fair either for him to have the urge and not be able to "Have a go". Our breeder aswell suggested putting him up for stud but like you looked at pros and cons. Anyway thanks for the info on injection option never heard of it, but will defo look into it.kenny d wrote:Forgot to add. I'll be honest, we got Kenny as a pet only. Re: Still snowing.....................
My vet does the 6 weekly jab, it costs £20 every 6 weeks. If I wanted the 6montly, we'd have to use a different vet (not sure on cost) . Cost wise normal castrion (cant spell) works out the cheapest in the long run, at my vet it's £140.
