Benson - Staffie Puppy approx 16 weeks old

BENSON HAS NOW BECOME AVAILABLE AGAIN FOR REHOMING THROUGH NO FAULT OF HIS OWN

Benson is a brindle and white male Staffordshire bull terrier. He came to us as a result of his owners change of circumstance.
 
Benson is approximately 18 weeks old and is a typical cheeky puppy. He is currently being fostered in Medway with three other dogs of various sizes and two children. His foster mum says:

Benson has been with us for three weeks now and since day one, has slotted so easily into our family. He loves to play with our dogs, but is also learning fast from our older two dogs who will tell him off if he oversteps the mark during playtime.

He is virtually clean in the house, just the odd accident, he does not chew and is fine to be left for a few hours.

He adores every person he meets and loves our children and their school friends, everyone is met with a wagging body and lots of staffie snogs.

Benson really is a perfect puppy who, with continued training, will make an adorable family pet.
 
Benson will only be rehomed where there is a resident dog for companionship and play. He will not be rehomed as an only dog.

Benson must be neutered once old enough as part of his adoption agreement by his new owner. He has been vaccinated, wormed, de flead and microchipped.

Hi. I'm just wondering why must he be neutered?

Because there are so many staffies in rescue that it wouldn't be fair to allow him to father yet another litter of potentially unwanted/abandoned puppies.

As Tess says, there are far too many staffies in rescue and we will not potentially allow the problem to be added to by leaving him unneutered. All SEDR dogs are neutered before they leave the rescue, or, as in Benson's case, if they are too young, they must be neutered as part of the rescue agreement.

what they hardly gave him a chance!!!!! Did they actually know what they were taking on in a Staff

we took in a 16wk old pup who had never been out of the house and was not toilet trained either thankfully we had our 13yr old on hand to teach him right from wrong and he is now such a darling would not be without him.

Unfortunately the family who took him on where not prepared for the work a puppy is, and gave him 24 hours! But the good news is that Benson is back with his foster family (me) and has now been with us for 2 months. He is now approximately 6 months old and has grown into an adorable well behaved little puppy. He is now fully house trained, has great recall off lead and happy to be left for a few hours every day. He currently lives with children, other dogs and house rabbits. He can live with children of any age. Benson is such a chilled out little puppy, I cannot believe he has not been snapped up! After his morning walk, he happily settles down for the day with a few little play times, but mostly chilling out. He is not destructive in the house and is clean when left.
