Tommy - mouth / jaw injury
Can anybody help?
I took Tommy out this morning and he played on the park with another puppy for 30 minutes or so. They chased each other and jumped all over one another, as you would expect. However after getting Tommy home I sat him down as usual to take his leash off and when I gave him his treat he took it off me very slowly (very unlike him) and gave a slight cry. He is now crying occasionally and when I open his mouth he cries a lot. I have examined him and I can't see that he has anything stuck in his mouth or gums and he doesn't look like he has lost any teeth.
Could he have damaged his jaw or mouth in any way while playing? Any advise as to what I should do?
Cheers

Re: Tommy - mouth / jaw injury
could be just a pulled jaw muscle etc is anything lodged in his back teeth wood bit of stick or in his pallate. Best to keep an eye on him if nothing improves take him to the vet

Re: Tommy - mouth / jaw injury
Would he be of age for his baby teeth to start falling out? Hope he feels better.
Re: Tommy - mouth / jaw injury
Did you hear him cry out when they were playing ? It could also be coming from his neck, give him a check all over for bite marks, if no better in the morning get a check over from the vet.

if you're still concerned tomorrow then go to the vet at the very least it will give you peace of mind
