Re: hi guys
I think it's best to do it at 2 years old, not sure though (but I believe someone asked before on the forums and people said around 2) 18 months doesn't sound that bad though then again I'm not an expert maybe wait for someone with more knowledge than me.

Re: hi guys
It's good your friend is being cautious.
It sounds a bit young, but look at the pups to see how good a mum she has been. Are all the pups looking well fed, happy and healthy - has the mum as an anxious firstimer bitten off the umbilical cord too close and caused a hernia. Are the bitch's owners being responsible about worming the litter and feeding them properly as they become weaned.
Oh and don't buy the runt of the litter if there is one - I did that last year and it ended in heartbreak.

Re: hi guys
The bitch should be either 2 years of age or after 5th season preferably, whichever comes later!

I would always prefer 2 years or 5th season, but although 18 months in my opinion is too young, there shouldn't be any problem with the pups. It's the bitch I worry about because she isn't fully mature yet.
