Buster and his new canny collar

We recieved Busters canny collar today and had our first walk with it. Our walks usually consist of me being yanked towards trees etc but on our walk today although buster managed to get the nose bit off twice he walked beside me. We also had an off lead lab who ran up to us growling and barking usually this would make buster try to pull towards it growling or try to run away but he stood behind me still. After this we meet a staffy who was put on lead for us and buster was allowed to see the dog at a distance and after a few mins buster sat and sniffed the air deffinately progress possibly because i was relaxed. Great News & looks great

Great news. I see you have managed to use the carbine clips to hold the noose around his neck whilst loose. I have to let Densil investigate on a long lead and I find the clips too fiddly - I can't fasten them. It's a bit like trying to get keys on a key ring. In the end I just took the collar off and then put it back on before we left the playing field.

Also, the nose loop still comes off a couple of times during our walks - don't know why. I am now using the correct method - a short lead and keeping my arm down by my side so I am holding the lead quite near to his collar (I am very short, lol), I keep the lead lose and then pull backwards if he pulls. I have also noticed he is a lot calmer when we meet other dogs. When we first got Densil he would jump up in the air and cry and strain to get to the other dogs.

With Buster i took the collar off when he runs loose he already has a blue normal collar the same colour as the canny one
Today we just went road walking and buster managed to get the nose part off a few times but not as many times as my gsds used to get their haltis off. We only meet a few dogs on the other side of the road and buster was very good as he didnt pay them mutch attention.
Im glad Densil is also benifiting from the collar he looks such a scrummy boy
