It's Roxy's birthday on Sunday!

Thought I'd write her a note:

My little girl will be a year old this weekend. I still remember the first day we brought you home, Rox. You licked my hand so gently and looked up with those puppy eyes and smile and I knew you were our first child. We got you to the car and you fell asleep on my lap straight away with your blue bear.
When we got you home you hopped out the car, did your business exactly where you were supposed to and set off to explore your forever home. I even remember you falling asleep and your dad carrying you to bed. Our new furbaby, we were completely and unconditionally in love with you already.
You’re an amazing little pup, Rox. Your antics and absolute love for life keep us laughing and smiling and we really couldn’t have wished for a better companion, protector and best fur friend.
We love that you’re full of happy-go-lucky staffie energy and although you need to learn when not to get in older dog’s faces, we’re doing our best for you.
We enjoy every second of your doggie classes and there is nothing better than seeing you take off at top speed during your recalls. We need to work on your stays but we’re getting there!
I’m so happy that you’re making good canine friends and having a ball with them. I really didn’t like seeing you trying to swim yesterday and remembering you couldn’t. We’ll take you for swimming lessons and keep doing the best we can to make sure our little clown is the best pup she can be.
I love the way you “talk” to us and how your wolfs, yodeling and bizarre grunts and snorts seem to conduct a conversation or just let us know how happy you are. You are the most gentle little creature I have ever come across and so good to me, my girl.
Thank you, Roxy Jane, for your amazing snuggles and cuddles, your sloppy kisses and two-paw hugs. Thank you for being the best pup you can be and for looking after us and most of all, thank you for being a little angel full of life and love.
