I must be mental!
think i am slightly a little mad. but we've gone and done it.
those who havent seen em before, i have sash SBT who will be 5 months on the 26th, skye HUMAN who will be 6 months on the 28th
and my fiance HUMAN ( ofcourse ) who is also like another child at 26
now, meet ozzie SBT was 3 on the 1st.
All 3 kids.
[img][/img]
hes a big lad and he needs a lot of work, hes in sort of a crappy way, i dont think he had the best start in life to be honest. think his tail is pretty much dead and he chews and bites his feet like no tomorrow till red raw, has patches where he's furless possible old mange? he jumps up, pulls horrendously on the lead, doesnt really know his own size or strength but hes the most gentle giant ever.
hoping some of you can help me with him and give me advise when needed
EDIT
Ozzie's story
The owner we saw him with (Andy) had only had him for 2 years, and said his first year in life was not good, his original owners weren't great, the woman stabbed the bloke or something and then Ozzie was left by himself. Andy said that he didnt know much about what had physically happened to Ozzie in his first year but he knows it wasnt good.
but due to his Andy now losing his house and working full time, Ozzie was crated for most of the day and he could see the impact on him so thought it was best to rehome him.
to be honest he was very good, he said that he will not let him go unless they know we are right for him, and that he will not let him go unless we are 100% certain and to go home and think about it before giving the answer.
But on collecting Ozzie he said how pleased he was we have chosen him as he thought Ozzie would really benefit from being with us as part of our family

Re: I must be mental!
Good for you! I'm very jealous, I'd love another dog to add to the family. But at this stage I really couldn't do it. Maybe someday!
Get him a check up at your vets just for piece of mind. After a few weeks of living at a good home he will show big improvements!

Re: I must be mental!
Thankyou!
Sash was and still is a very easy puppy, got her at 12 weeks and she was easy to house train had little accidents. She learned sit, wait and come here and knows them perfectly at 4months old, walks off the lead fine and is brill with my baby and other dogs!
Perfect pup i do believe :p
Now ozzie is proving a terror! Pulls, doesnt comes back, jumps up and on you lol and now has started barking at sash.
Only day two though i suppose hope this settles down!

Beautiful family.
The baby appears to be looking longingly at the dogs bone
Good Luck - you are going to be one busy lady.

Re: I must be mental!
Oh my god, that last picture is so cute Ozzie sounds like he needs a lot of work, but look at him! He'll be sooo worth it. I envy you with Sash being the perfect puppy though

Re: I must be mental!
It's sounds like the previous owner, Andy, did the right thing for the dog in letting him go to the right people to get the care he needs.
I've no doubt you will give him everything he needs, well done for rescuing.
