hiya. im ema.Tessa is 8yrs old.we have had tess from a puppy we have been very lucky with her. doesnt eat anything (she used to eat shoes/boots/trainers) she now just puts them in my bed. very well behaved out for walks. she tells us whatever it is she wants. she is a little over weight now. i dont like giving her dog treats but she does have half of one at night. she only eats 1tin of dog food a day and carrots!!!
she was my step dads drivers mate for 5/6yrs so she never even wore a collar she always had free rain of fields and what not however when he left instead of him re homing her i decided at 22 to have her. i tried to get her to sleep in her own bed at night intead of being in the beds. she played up terrible. i took her to the vets as she had a lump in her mouth it was gum diease her breathing wouldnt calm so i put her in my room 18months later she is still there!!! the vets put her on dry food. she hated it. i ended up taking her back to the vets to find out her toileting in the house at night was behavioural. 4months later she is back in my bed back on the food she was always on and it has seemed to stop!!!!

Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
I dont think it's ever too late to train a dog to do anything, it may just take a little longer to do it.
