We are now about to put alfie on purina beta chicken and rice and on the bag it says for an adults weight feed X grams daily. My question is what is the average adult weight of a staff? I am guessing at around 15-25 kg? If this is the case it says 125-400g per day for a 6-12 month puppy. Would you say this sounds correct? Just want to make sure we are feeding him the correct amount.

Probably right on the weight guess , as they do ranfge quite widely in size , go with the guidelines on the manufacturers packaging and then you can trim it up or down depending on how he looks, it really does depend on the manufacturer and the ingredients of the food. Some of the more expensive brands actually work out a lot cheaper as you don't feed as much . I don't know the food you are using though , have you already bought it yet ??

You must remember to make the change over gradually as well so not to upset their tums
