Re: ILLUSTRATED BREED STANDARD
Yes she is gorgeous
I just cant get over that lean boy ... in all my years I dont think I have ever seen a staffy thats lean enough to show that slab of muscle on the rib cage behind the shoulders .. countless APBT's, but never a stafford
Anyone know where I can get a decent copy of that pic ??

Re: ILLUSTRATED BREED STANDARD
Try emailing the Stafford Knot - that's who sent the standard through to me....

I must admit, I don't often like the really lean ones, but he's a stunner!

Carryl that is so interesting, and more so to those on the forum who have pedigree dogs and would like to show, and maybe go on to breed.

This is a real good read. Logan does quite well until it gets to the weight and height.

Re: ILLUSTRATED BREED STANDARD
Very interesting read that. I was also impressed with the boy who is well ripped. a real stunner him. Archie does quite well. Although he is 14inches and 17.5 kilo. so hes weight isnt really in relation to his height. i dont think i've ever seen a stafford who would go within those limits!

There are many that fall within the stated height/weght ratios - it's just that you tend not to see them on the streets!

Agree ... if you go to a staffy show its quite an eye opener to see nothing but standard dogs ... most good show dogs are pretty small, very tight, lean little power house's .. great to see

Just stumbled across this, had a quick flick through and it's very interesting - will take a closer look tomorrow. The breed standard is so beautiful! Would love to go and watch them being shown.
