female SBT x Boxer (we think), 2 - 4 years old.

This is PETULA - female SBT x Boxer (we think), 2 - 4 years old. She was picked up as a stray several weeks ago but is still living in the council kennels and is on the PTS list.

She desparately needs either a rescue space, foster home or forever home to get her out of the pound and off the 'at risk' list.

She has been successfully walked with other calm dogs and was fine, although she would probably prefer to not be with bouncy excitable dogs. She has not been tested with cats, but older children should not be a problem. She is strong on the lead, but is a sweet, friendly girl, who loves playing tug. She will sit and give paw.

Petula has been spayed and vaccinated.

Petula is a lovely girl who would probably need an experienced dog owner who would be prepared to offer her some further training walking on the lead.

She loves to play with toys, and has a lovely affectionate side to her nature. She will fetch toys and drop them for you to play with her.

I think she has the potential to do well at obdience or agility, as she is very intelligent and does want to please. She will be a lovely companion for the right person.

She would probably benefit from being the only dog, but may be able to live with another calm dog. Because she is a stray she would not be suitable for a household with young children, but older sensible children should not be a problem.
