Good luck to your dad Steve. You're obviously concerned and worried as anyone would be but doctors are very clever these days and just think- with his new knee (after he gets used to it and heals) he will be a new man!

Re: my dad op tomoz
2 hours will pass like a second under anaesthetic to your dad so don't worry about that, it will be much longer than that to you I know.
A private room is a great bonus - he'll enjoy it you see!

Re: my dad op tomoz
A friend's wife recently had a knee replacement & she was home within 48 hours! That was about a month ago & she's had no problems whatsoever. Walking around fine & no pain at all. She walked to the loo within a couple of hours of surgery!

I'm sure he will be fine Steve, will he want to go home again
I will be interested to hear how he gets on as my hubby is having his partial knee replacement very soon too.

Re: my dad op tomoz
Nice one!
I might have to get more info off your dad as I have a feeling this is an op I will have to have 1 day.
I have constant pain in my knees. Have done now for about 3 years

Hoping for a speedy recovery. I've known quite a few that have new knees and hips and like a new lease on life.
