Re: hoover
sorry Lou, no. I actually haven't found dog hair to be a problem.
Muddy paws now - oh yes! I have a Vax washer but it hasn't been used recently, this weather would make it seem like painting the Forth Bridge, and I haven't got the stamina so am waiting for dryer weather (when o when).
I CAN remember the colour of my carpets, they were pale beige (more fool me). They are now pale black and will remain that way until ....

Re: hoover
We have recently replaced our old vacuum cleaner with a Vax Power Reach 6. I am very impressed with it, does all I ask of it, gets up most of Rockys hairs, dont think anything would get them all up tbh.

Re: hoover
didn't realise how bad my old vacuum was til I got a Dyson picked up a pet one when they were on offer (just before they brought out a new model) with the constant bad weather though its the muddy paws that are the issue and have a rotation of old duvet covers and towels down in the front room

Re: hoover
Sounds like the Dysons are highly recommended.
Forgot to say my Vax cost £100 with all the attachments. It is also a cylinder cleaner and very light weight to lift around from room to room.

Re: hoover
My Mum had a Kerby vacuum for years, I think they are made in America and are very tough machines.

Re: hoover
Another vote for the dyson pet. We picked ours up cheap too funnily enough just before they brought the updated version out
With Zac being white and the kids having carpet in there rooms there was always white hair everywhere lol till we got our dyson.

Re: hoover
I was amazed at the amount of extra muck our Vax got up too. Just goes to show how knackered our old vacuum cleaner was.

Re: hoover
I have had a Sebo Felix for 6 years now. It costs around £249 and just goes on and on and on. It doesn't seem to struggle with animal hairs. I have two Staffs and two long haired cats. Since I bought mine, my dad, my sister and sister in law have also all purchased one.

Re: hoover
We got this one and we are really happy with it much cheaper than the Dyson equivalent 5 year guarantee and works brilliantly.
