Re: buster vs hoover
I've always gone through this with my dogs. I ended up leaving the vaccum out where they can see it so they get used to it and turn it on every so often. After awhile they get used to it. Although Suki does still bark and for the first couple of minutes.

Dempsey will attack the vacuum cleaner with everyone except me - he doesn't dare when I've got it! >

Bella does that when I'm trying to sweep up. With the vacuum she barks a couple of times and bites at it then gives up and runs around the room

Re: buster vs hoover
I've never really hoovered with Buster about, I normally shut him out as its hard enough with the 2 kids (LuLu runs off to hide) so I didn't really know what he was like with it. Then last week at dog training the trainer put a hoover on as a distraction while we had to walk round some cones and things turns out that he's not bothered by it at all, which was lucky!

I used to clean the club I worked in and when I swept the bar floor Moo would be hanging off the brush, needless to say it took an age to get anything done but was oh so funny!
