Do you smoke?

First topic message reminder :

Just wondered how many people here smoke & what the reasons are for smoking/not smoking.

I voted for "No, Never", but that's not entriely true.

When i'm drinking enough to be bojangled, I do enjoy a cigar or a cigarette during the evening. Not often, and I don't think I've ever actually paid for a pack, but I can see why people would. Calming, very calming habit.

Although, the taste of vomit and cigarette in my mouth the next morning always prevents me from smoking during sobreity.

None of my family smoked and in fact despised it, so naturally i started in my teenage years, gave up whilst pregnant but started again due to a stressful situation, however, i have not yet had a cig this year, i quit stone cold turkey on Jan 1st 2011 and its been alot easier that i thought it would be. even tho i was never a heavy smoker i was a true social smoker. but i can go to my smoker friends and out to pubs and stuff without pulling my hair out, so its all good =D x

You're not alone Caryll. I've never smoked either.....never had the urge to try. In my opinion it's disgusting (please don't take this personally if you are reading this and smoke, it's completely up to you what YOU do and i'm not attacking anybody for it)

20/25 a day. I enjoy it and especially when drinking. I quit for six months a couple years ago and early one morning going into work a guy was standing there smoking. It was almost as if it went into slow motion watching him take a big puff. I heard music. I said gimme one and here I am again...

I wouldn't go that far but yea it's pretty filthy. I think most of my hangovers are from the smoke not the drink.

I smoke about 5 a day usually when I am drinking or with my cup of coffee in the morning. No real plans to stop.

first smoke I ever tried was what my mum calls a 'university cigarette' and then when I tried a normal cigarette at 14 years old I did it the same way, inhaling all the smoke and holding it....it was so awful I vowed never ever ever again. but occasionally I shared cigs with friends at parties when I was like 16 but still never liked it that much. now I just hate the smell and every thing I would never touch em.

+ my parents smoked when I was little and I used to nag and nag at them to quit telling them theyd die and all this, so if i ever took it up I'd be such a hypocrit.

It's much worse then that! Your average nose gold doesn't have Nicotine, Formaldehyde, Ammonia, Acetone, Tar, Carbon Monoxide, Arsenic or Hydrogen Cyanide in it...
