Haven't met any dogs for the last 3 days on our walks.
Might be the fact that huge common where we walk is about 200yds from the North Sea and we've had gales and rain all week. Either that or they are all avoiding " the whirling dervish ", hope it's the former Big Grin

However it has been great for training, with no distractions. Recalls perfect every time, even when he is hunting rabbits. Have started rewarding him when he returns to me of his own accord and am finding that he now always keeps one eye on me and returns frequently even from his [i]hunts.

Of course the test will be when the other walkers start to reappear with their dogs.

It's probably the horrid weather thats keeping all the walkers in side right now, cant blame them really. Laughing I think it's just us mad dog owners that are out and about in this weather. Love Struck

I didn't see another soul on our morning walk today either. I did see a muntjac deer though that just flitted across the pathway as we were walking back to the car.

Yes we put up 2 Roe Deer, so would appear we were first out at 8.45am. Also a big buzzard on a power line just sat there as we walked underneath. Probably too windy to bother wasting the energy.

Mind you, don't know who is the more reluctant, Bacchus or me. When off-lead he keeps stopping and sheltering behind bid tussocks of grass.

I remember when Loki's recall used to be perfect...*sigh* I remember it fondly. RIP recall Sad...Laughing

We've seen the odd dog here and there on the streets, but none in the field, really, so it makes the whole thing go a lot smoother, especially since Loki hates the rain.
