doris coughing
oh no doris has started with a cough...started about 3 days ago. she went to the dog rescue last week that runs puppu play classes. there was no other pups there though. i prey its not kennel cough she has cought

IF it continues for a few more days and coughing alot during the day, then take her to the vet, but ring ahead to explain it might be kennel cough as it's very contagious.

she was doing it during the day today and yesterday and doing it now on and off while she trying to sleep

sounds like it could be kennel cough, have you checked to see if theres anything stuck (not that it's likely) but it's always best to check

she still eats well and is active. maybe it could be the perfume.body spray i have been spraying maybe thats irritated her throat?

Worms can cause coughing too has she been wormed lately

My previous dog caught kennel cough after a trip back up to the rehoming kennels we got him from, my god ive never heard a cough like it Anyhow we took him to vets next morning and got a lovely expensive course of antibiotics...BUT...the vet did inform us that actually most cases of kennel cough (obviously not severe cases!) will clear up by themselves and we had the choice to put him on antibiotics or not, we decided to place him on them as the poor thing (and me!!) had barely slept the night before from all the coughing. Took id say another 3 days for the cough to settle down but up to about 2 weeks for it to go completly, hope your little one gets better soon xx
