Tears :(

Took Luna to the vets today for her first big girl jab today and I mentioned the brown 'bags' she gotten under her eyes. The vet said that they were common in white dogs and that they are 'tear staines'
It broke my heart
The poor little thing has evidence that she's been upset (presumably when left overnight in her crate)

Dogs don't cry emotionally...

Tears are from the dogs eyes keeping themselves moist so nothing gets stuck in them because they don't have very effective eyelashes. If it happens a lot then there might be a tearduct problem.

have you seen the advert where the tiger is caught in a mantrap. Its actually crying poor thing. It breaks my heart to see cruelty to them and any other animal

Don't worry Fraggle, tear stains is just the name for those brown stains some dogs get. It might be cos she is little when her lashes grow a bit they might go. Lola my white girl doesn't get them but Lily the blue had leaky eyes when she was a pup

Oh, don't worry, I've seen loads of dogs with that. I'm sure dogs don't cry tears, it's not an emotional thing. I'm sure she's perfectly happy with you
