I'm So Excited :D

Just found out my oh is going to make it home for Christmas He's been in Afghan for 3 months (not his longest tour) and was touch and go if he was going to make it back in time. He should be back next week and I can't wait I'm so excited I can't wait to see what Maggie is going to be like when he gets back either I always ask her "Where's Daddy" and her little ears stick up and she goes looking for him, she's going to go crazy when he gets back I just know it, she is such a Daddy's girl. I will become but a distant memory, who cares that I looked after her, walked her, fed her, played with her now Daddy's home who needs Mummy I don't mind though my man's coming home woo hoo

Best Christmas present ever!

Totally the best present ever I'm so excited I must have been soo good this year for this to happen normally he's the one that always gets told he's staying out wherever he is longer then first thought so can't believe they have actually stuck with what they said, suppose there's always a first time

It's a bit spooky cos our dog is called Maggie and my OH got back from Afghan 6 weeks ago and our Maggie went totally crackers, it was sooo cute!!

Thanks everyone for all your lovely comments I'm so excited I can't wait till he is home I will try to get photos but to be fair I think I'll be too happy to see him myself that I will forget to take any pics I'm like you though Dave I love watching those youtube vids they always bring a tear to my eye

That is spooky but what can I say we both obviously have good taste in dog names and men even though the going away parts aren't so good. Pleased that your oh got back safe and sound though and hope you and everyone else have an awesome Christmas.

I will let you all know how the home coming with Maggie goes even if I dont have pics to show

Thank you Yeh the worrying side is really awful but this forum has been a world of help, not just with Maggie but with keeping me distracted as well. I can't wait till I know he's home safe and sound, it's the best Christmas present ever

Just wanted to let you all know that my oh is home safe and sound He turned up out of the blue on Friday I had 15 mins with him before I had to go back to work Sorry to say there are no photos of him with Maggie as so excited he was home didnt get a chance. However Maggie was ecstatic that her daddy had come home I had gone home in my lunch hour to walk her but it was throwing it down, I managed to get her a little way up the road (her sulking all the way) before she had had enough and dragged me back. Anyway the rain soon didnt bother her when oh turned up she pushed me out of the way so she could get through the front door to greet him, it was like 'rain? what rain?'
She has since become his shadow and wont allow me to snuggle up with him for too long before she has to dive in between us for her turn
Anyway just wanted to let you all know he's home and I'm soo happy, best Xmas pressie ever, hope you all have brilliant Xmases yourselves
