Staffy Jackets
Hi there,
This is a topic i believe has been posted before but in any ive seen there has been no definate answer.
Its also contraversial due to people like paris hilton dressing dogs up in tuxedos and putting them in her handbag lol.
I am not one of these people, i am just simply looking for something that will keep my dog, Rosie, warm and doesnt make her look silly. I have searched ebay but theyre nearly all for poodles and jack russels. Even the XXL sizes wouldnt fit her and shes a small build for a staffy.
I would like to get her a jumper of the "Adidog" kind as they look ok and would be warm. But im not too bothered. Where would you recommend i go for one and what size do you think is best for a 2 year old staffy?
I just dont like sitting at night and the couch vibrating because shes freezing. She has a very bald erse and legs lol. So she feels the cold a lot. (Im going to get her it for a christmas present lol).
Any help = much appreciated

Re: Staffy Jackets
I've just recently got Zeus this one:
http://www.oneclickpharmacy.co.uk/black-coat-45cm-p-129897.html
It's 2 in 1, so you can either use them both together, waterproof and warm fleece, or use either of them seperately. It serves two purposes, either as a jumper, or a full blown waterproof/fleece lined coat on winter walks. Its the cheapest I could find on that website and don't forget to use discount code: OCPFREEDEL; for free delivery!

Re: Staffy Jackets
I had one like that for Rolo when he was a pup last winter, they are really good, just about to invest in another one for him now he's so much bigger and hates the cold and rain. Highly recommended and easy to adjust

Looks really good that, and well priced too. May have to consider this.

Re: Staffy Jackets
I have this for Chika for walking in. Great fit and keeps her warm and dry without restricting her in any way.

I would think a woolly jumper like this would be better for day use.

Re: Staffy Jackets
The thing that puts me off all the dog jackets available is that they only seem to cover the furry bits....All the least furry bits on the underside don't get covered, obviously if the jacket is water proof it'll keep them dry on top. Storm gets his underside caked in wet mud when it's crabby weather.

Anyone else tried to buy one of these, tried to buy 2 x 18" , screen just goes blank when I click checkout great price (I paid more than this off amazon for 2 16 " ones and they were too small so sent em back)

Re: Staffy Jackets
We bought this coat from dogcoats.net.
It's reversable and if she gets cold she wears it indoors.

Re: Staffy Jackets
With there coats my two dont need one but claire just got riley one from pets at home for £12 as he has a staffy coat. Its a bit like a horse coat and is windproof and waterproof but breathable. He looks realy comfortable in it and i put my hand under it when it was really cold the other day and was suprised how warm he felt. I think if you can keep the wind and rain off they will stay warm. I must admit i did laugh when i first saw him in it as he looks like a small horse being lead around. But main thing is hes warm, especially as his first walk is at 5am... -5 the other day

Re: Staffy Jackets
Also in the process of making my own adapted coat picked this fleece lined cardi up in a charity shop for £1 have cut the sleeves off but it still needs a bit of adjustment to make putting it on over his paws a bit easier and will change the buttons to velcro
