dry food
Could someone recommend a healthy dry food. Miley when in the rescue centre was fed on canned meat but she doesnt like it much. She likes bakers moist chunks just tried her on them but dont want her to have these all the time. Just bought a small box as was worried she wasnt eating much. Usually as soon as her food gets puts down she would eat it but the past few days she just sniffs it and walks away. She does however return to have nibbles of it and by bedtime its usually gone. This makes us think she is not keen on it anymore.

Re: dry food
I feed Tinker raw meat and tripe from P@H frozen or Fish 4 Dogs pates with a good wheat-free complete just for some texture really. I think all complete would soon get boring and perhaps Miley would like a bit of variety.

Re: dry food
Fish for dogs is usually really palatable for dogs who are bit more fussy. Bakers...try to stay away from them!
Also, you should not leave it down, this means she will only pick at it instead of eat it. This means shes more likely to not have regular poos.

Re: dry food
I can reccomrnded pets at home 'Wainwrights salmon n potatoe complete'
I feed 50/50 dry/raw
My 2 love it ! I usually give it with a raw egg or carrots or yogurt, they dont eat the dry on it's own. Not because they won't, but because I Just add to it.
For treats, my 2 love chopped savaloy sausage or hot dogs (in moderation)!

Re: dry food
I would go Wainwrights dry complete with a spoon or two of the wet, too wean her slowly onto the dry, which in the long run is better for teeth.
At the end of the day she won't let herself starve, so u mustn't let her get too picky.
Wainwrights dry, with raw egg us yum.
Wainwrights dry, with mashed carrot and a spoon of gravy is yum !
Dry with natural yogurt
Dry with sardines
Lots of variations that no dog can turn it's nose up at ! Xx
