I hate sky so much angry , if i want to talk on line i have to choose which issue i want to talk about angry ,then i chose one, then it's we are very sorry but our on line services are off line till 28/11/12 thinking but when i got up this morning i'm pretty sure it was the 29th/11/12, so i think i will phone them oops one of the problems phone line dont work and when it did if it rang i would lose the internet, started to ring them on my mobile then realised it's not free angry , i could use my mobile and ask them to ring me back but it takes 10 mins to get through, then they say yes will ring you back and don't angry and they never refund the call cheeky b*****ds. If i withhold the 80 odd quid payments for the next 2 months i bet they will get in touch then. All i want is to be able to watch tv without it freezing, make phone calls and use the internet, i am so angry with them angry . I am sorry for the rant but has anyone else ever tried to contact sky and had the same thing or is it just me the misery of cheshire

Not all bad anyway cos i have a Cassie to give me staffy snogs like she's not seen me for 3 weeks lol, so stuff sky because they are poop . She has cheered me up so much this last 3 months Love Struck

we got rid of sky at the beginning of this year think there are too many repeats etc. Freeview is good too

We have never been with Sky or any other satellite company. We have a freesat box and a freeview box which between them have all the channels we would watch. Sorry I'm not very techy minded, one of them has a satellite dish with no monthly fee, we just bought the box and the dish, no subscription at all.

Our broadband is with the Screaming Virgin and they are bad enough frustrated mad

I've got my broadband and phone with sky and its "ok" It was great top start but I think that's only because orange was so poop and now I'm finding the faults, but won't be changing yet , migh go fibre optic next year now BT have installed in my area though ??

Does anybody know how they install it , is it via telegraph pole

unfortunately we dont have a choice of broadband provider here its monopolised by one company.

I think the fibre optic goes underground with cables, but I could be wrong i dont know

I know it does to the exchange box things (them green cabinets in the street) but I meant actually to the house. If it has to go underground then no chance as I'm not ripping up me new drive

Can somebody please tell me i'm wrong or please just call me stupid. I am not what you would call an intelligent man, but i have just been on sky help live chat which i wish i had copied and pasted on here now, because Mary came on and typed how may i help you (like she actually wanted to help Laughing ) ,i typed i wish to cancel because my PHONE doesn't work and my tv freezes but my broadband is ok. Mary typed ok sorry for that, let me see if i can help, i will send a link for your tv that will reset the box and inform us of any faults, ok how do we do that? i asked, well it is done by us from here, ok how? i asked, through the phone socket in the box down the phone line says mary, But my phone doesn't work. Please be patient David this can take upto 5 minutes. ok i said. 2 minutes later Mary says is the phone line connected to the box? yes i replied, ok is it connected to the wall? can you check says Mary, we are having trouble finding the box there seems to be a problem with your phone line angry . Ok i replied is that why at the beginning of this chat i said my phone is not working. Can i please just cancel my sky on the 1st of january 2013 please. I am sorry david you must give 30 days notice angry , and you must telephone which is free from your sky telephone angry angry . My telephone does not work, can somebody phone me on my mobile? or will they refund my mobile call? no i am sorry calls from mobiles are charged calls we do not refund. Ok i will ring at my own expense, Mary says let me transfer you to our broadband department, why? i asked the broadband is the only thing that works i typed angry they may be able to help, i closed the chat box. Am i mental and wrong please tell me. Sorry it's so long winded

no dave its underground needs to be in sealed trunking then led in to your house (they will find a way and your drive will be untouched)but read the small print with BT its fiber optic technology not actual fiber cable basic they use the old copper cabling to the local exchange then fiber cable to your property sounds confussing but bit rate of data through BT line is about 5%of virgin so good compared to most not a patch on virgin

Unless they've got a little tunnelling machine or ask the neighbours if they would be kind enough to route via their property we had the drive blocked over right across at the top this year so don't see how they could possible get to the house underground without disturbing it so I think I will give it a miss for a while

because they can do it with 50mm of space only need to be under surface
