Re: scary
Aw poor Bruiser! I know the feeling, charlie got attacked by an off lead rotti this week and the owner said the rotti didnt like pups. Why some people have their dogs off lead when they know they're aggressive is beyond me. I really hope Bruiser is ok.

Re: scary
WTF i would of smacked the owner how dare they not only be bad owners but allow their dogs to beat up or scare another pet I just hope Bruiser doesn't go on the offence with other dogs now after having such a bad experience especially the urinating he must of been terrified poor Bruiser.

Re: scary
Aww.. Poor Bruiser. I hate, hate, hate people who keep their dogs off leash withouit having them under control. (And you should never, ever let your "nice" off leash dog go up and greet another dog without asking first, either.) I hope Bruiser doesn't have any lasting effects from this. I've had to have a dog pts bc he never got over a dog attack.
Re: scary
rouge i am TERRIFIED bruiser will now become anti social..............thats why im so annoyed, ive schedled another play date with him with my mates pugs he liked nxt week to get him back in the swing, i really hope it hasnt effected himMissRogue wrote:WTF i would of smacked the owner how dare they not only be bad owners but allow their dogs to beat up or scare another pet I just hope Bruiser doesn't go on the offence with other dogs now after having such a bad experience especially the urinating he must of been terrified poor Bruiser.
my partner went ballistic at the guy with the dogs, but i quote my partner ' he looked like a f******* druggy who needed a wash' the bloke didnt even apologise.
It just lucky my partner saw them coming in time and picked bruiser up........because they ran up BEHIND them!
There were reports where i live around the time we got Bruiser of a german shepperd attacking dogs and i wonder if these dogs are the ones dog walkers were talking about.

Re: scary
Poor Bruiser. It's so frustrating when people don't think about other people and their dogs. If you cannot control your dog off a lead or don't know how your dog is going to react, you don't have it off the lead! It's not flaming rocket science.

Really glad to know your doing your best in socialising Bruiser and its a real shame you have to go through it because of these circumstances. I feel sorry for the other dogs too to be honest. There was this Black staffy around here who killed an elderly womans yorky while she was walking it a few months ago the amount of police and dog wardens hanging around for a good week looking for this dogs every black dog was stopped even Taz. I'm surprised they havn't made a bigger effort finding the german shepherd you mentioned and maybe it was this one.

Re: scary
I have a dog aggressive dog so I keep my dog on his lead. I'd love Blue to be able to run off leash all the time but I also know that it is more important for him to stay on the lead for the sake of other people and their dogs. Some people need a slap

Exactly the same with my Taz i'v stopped him being aggressive while on the lead but off the lead is another thing all together so i keep on the leash until i'm down the allotments or where i know i'm in a secure area. I wouldn't want to risk it.

Re: scary
Aww poor Bruiser, best thing to do is get him back out there and socialise again, I don't know much about dog/dog aggresion and thankfully haven't ever been put in that position before. Some people make my blood boil though when I read everyones traumatic experiences. The owner sounds like a proper tool

Re: scary
Poor Bruiser, I hope he's ok. I doubt it'll make him agressive, though, but you should definitely make an extra effort to socialise him with friendly dogs so he can see they're not all like that.

Re: scary
What a shame, i dont think i'd manage to keep my temper with the owner though if he acted like he didnt care, those sort of people really get me going and im just about to start taking my pup out in a fortnight, wish me luck haha, when my brother had brooke she got terrorised by a male rotti when she was little and once she was bigger she just didnt take to male dogs at all, she was very well trained in didnt bother until they came over to her and she turned aggresive, in even tried to drown a male rottweiler at the beach after he was all over her even although i warned the owner to take it under control, his face was priceless when she snapped though, hope all turns out well in he's not affected in the future

Re: scary
People like that shouldnt own dogs. They should only have pet rocks.A small rock though as i don't think they could handle a fast growing rock with the potential of becoming a boulder...
