Lips?
Ok maybe a little random, I have searched to no avail, why do dogs lips has a 'serrated' edge to them?

The lumpy bits are called papillae and they contain taste buds. Thats about as far as my knowledge goes sorry.

Thank you Kathy, its been bugging me for ages. Googled all sorts and not found anything that explained it. That will put my mind at rest for the time being, until some other random thing bugs me lol

Never wondered that before. I did always wonder how they weren't constantly biting themselves by accident because they seem a bit loose
