Cats
We have three cats who have been living permanently upstairs since a certain furry person arrived. To be fair he seems prepared to ignore them provided they don't run. But they do. We have decided that tomorrow we will shut ourselves in the conservatory with the Sunday papers, the three cats ( they can perch safely on the back of the sofa) and the dervish.
Will keep you posted.

Re: Cats
Very interested to hear how this goes for you. We have had Saffy 5 months now and have been waiting patiently for our 13 year old cat to realise we won't let her eat him but he too has decided he'd rather just stay upstairs. This also means that we currently have the litter box in our bedroom, not really a place where you want the delightful aroma of cat poo

Re: Cats
My cat is 14 and altho my 2 silly staffys like her, she just can't be assed with it all , she tends to stay upstairs, we feed her upstairs too.
It keeps the peace, she sleeps on my daughters bed at night too.

Re: Cats
we had the cats first so just let them get on with it. They keep the pups in place and can jump up high out the way. Best introducing them sooner than later

Re: Cats
Hope it goes well. Loki's OK with cats. First time he saw one, his hackles went up and he was very interested, but I told him to leave it and he was OK. Next few times it's a similar reaction; he looks, but doesn't pull to them. That said, this is fine when you don't have pet cats, but when you have them as pets, I guess being interested at all isn't so great . Hope Bacchus sees them as his family

Re: Cats
Loads of staffs and cats live in harmony.
Not for Moo though, she would play, in a dog sort of way and bye bye cat!

Re: Cats
He doesn't seem that interested unless they run. He often sits in his bed and watches them when hunger forces them to come down and remind us it's feeding time. The minute he goes in the crate at night (I don't know how they know??) they are down, especially the two siamese who do crave interaction.
In his defense, I think it's the cats who need to chill, but they are becoming bolder.
When he sneaks upstairs ( where he is not allowed) he's more interested in seeing what's left in their feeding bowls. Also their litter tray
