The joys of working with animals! (pic heavy!)
First topic message reminder :
Thought I'd share some pics of the animals I get to work around!
This is Star, our resident foul-tempered Llama! See the lovely way she 'smiles' at you?
Star again, with her ears back and glaring!
Sleepy little ferret!
Rufus the big fish!
Greedy Rheas!
Meerkats. They look so cute... until you see them eating...
This little monster likes to pull hair.
Little Dude, the Bearded Dragon. Bless him - he has brain damage.
Leopard Gecko.
Quarantined iguanas - very grumpy!
The bigger one is Herby - he's... somewhat frisky with the lady tortoises!
Jupiter, the Pine Snake!
Halter training the goats. Not. Fun.
Our resident grumpy Boa Constrictor! He enjoys hissing, slithering and biting people in the face.
George the chameleon. He's cute.
Wallaby feeding - probably the cutest animals there!
Except for the calves. They didn't like being ear tagged!
Chilean Rose Tarantula. Thankfully, very slow and lazy!

Re: The joys of working with animals! (pic heavy!)
Whole rats are probably a little too big. We feed them mice!
Not quite as cute and fluffy when you hear them snarling savagely as they tear mice in half! They have sharp little teeth!

Yeah, they have scary feeding habits! Away from food, though, they're very curious and sweet.

That's Rufus the fish. Thought he was dying a while ago, but looks like he's getting better. At this rate, he'll live forever!mazz wrote:They are excellent photos the fish reminds me of someone mother in law springs to mind
...So yes - exactly like a mother-in-law.
