ripping paper Empty ripping paper

hi everyone,my three month old puppy is constantly ripping up newspaper that is down for toilet training.she has lots of toys and attention but wont stop doing this.anyone else having this problem?xxx

Hi Sam,
I've just sent you some pics of George on your intro page. I'm afraid it doesn't get any better. George is 1 now and loves nothing better than a good rip up session of paper, cardboard, anything like that.
Strange thing is he doesn't destroy anything else.

oh dear,looks like i best just grin and bear it lol.ebony doesnt destroy other things either but picking up thousands of paper bits seems to be all i do...

I don't use paper for toilet training - Dempsey would have ripped it up & eaten it! Rolling Eyes

I just made sure he was taken outside frequently & praised when he went to toilet outside.

i try and take her out as much as possible and has a crate for when i go out but i find she wees a lot still if im in the other room or busy with the kids so trying to get her to do it just on paper area.hopefully she will get bored soon lol!

I wouldn't use the paper, personally. If you think it'll work for you then fair enough, but it seems to be causing more hassle Laughing. Take her out every 30 minutes or so, and wait until she does something, and then give her lots of praise and maybe a treat. Eventually, she'll learn that going outside makes you happy Big Grin

I never used paper when training Duke but if he gets his mouth on tissue he rips them to bits .

thank u everyone,i have decided to scrap the paper as u are right,its just going to cause more mess in the long run.will keep persevering with outside trips to the loo until she gets the idea.thanks again Smile
