My new alarm clock.
Debo sleeps with us. And he has new routine in the morning. It's always around 8.30. First he moves around, when this doesn't work he clambs on me( I normally sleep on my back). Sits there for a while. When this fail he starts licking my hands. Now is very important moment. Do not open your eyes! If he sees your eyes you lost. At that stage if you strong enough to shake that licking monster of you,you might think : victory! But no. It's not over. He will go for your feet. Now is the point when I loose.

I'm usually the one to have to get Moo out of bed in the morning, and then she just wants to get back in

Lucky you. He so got use to me taking him in the morning, that he won't do it to my OH. And when my OH wants to take him out Debo would just look at him from the bed.

Dex is a lazy bum in the morning too, if he does want to get up but you aren't shifting he grumbles and moans like an old man

I have one of those alarm clocks, it sounds a lot like yours, except mine goes off at 5:30am, and even if your eyelid flickers you get a mouthful of staffy tongue

When my uncle had to mind Loki for us overnight, he was asleep and woke up to find Loki standing on his chest staring at his face. This was still when he had his puppy teeth what a way to wake up.

Re: My new alarm clock.
Well i got the wake up call to beat all wake up calls this morning!!
Couldn't sleep last night cause am all bunged up and feverish with the man flu, so after hours of tossing and turning i decided to try a change of location, so left my oh and Diesel in bed and snuck downstairs with spare duvet and snuggled in on my cool couch....and slowly drifted off.....
I was then awoken by a hyper happy puppy running back and forth on the couch licking maniacally at my face, as i stirred and slowly opened one eye and grunted a "hi" at her, she kinda paused....and all of a sudden i started to feel warm....VERY warm....and wet!!! yes thats right folks with all the excitement of finding her mummy she peed on me!!! first thing in the morn pee too, so it wasn't small
thank god i've got throws and a leather couch that is easy wiped clean

Re: My new alarm clock.
Ledger usually wakes around 9-9.30am (apart from when I'm on early shifts and then he really doesn't want to get up at 4.30am) but if I'm not ready to get up I say '5 minutes' and he lies back down but if I still don't get up he will bury his nose under my neck and flick my head up or lie alongside me and push me

Re: My new alarm clock.
Why are you still in bed at 8:30? What a dream that must be.
My Yoda loves to take as much room as possible & prefers the middle of the bed of course.
He stays there until I kick him out when I goto work.
Often he goes to bed before me so I have to fight for some room when I crash.

Re: My new alarm clock.
LOL, Really glad I don't let the pets upstairs now! Lol, I have two nearly teens and a 3 and a half year old. The cat used to sleep upstairs but I stopped him when I was expecting my last child..... Mofo likes to sleep on heads, he's strong and wont let a little thing like pushing him off a million times stop him from getting back up again lol. Well our new dog is a 2 year old, rehomed to me 2 weeks ago as a private rescue so no knowing much about her past makes me weary of letting her where the children sleeps. But its not just that, if I let the dog sleep in my bed, the cat would come too, I already let the other half sleep with me and he snores louder than a erupting volcano so I'd get NO sleep at all lol. Stuff it....... I'd may as well let the horse join us too LOL xxxxxx

Re: My new alarm clock.
Pixee will wake me up for a wee between 5.30am and 6.30am, then races back upstairs for first place on our bed and there she sleeps till 9.00 to 10am lazy madam. She wakes me up by putting her two front legs on my side of the bed and pokes her nose at my face
