Bragging rights
We have had a great day at an off leash dog park, we had so much fun we stayed for 2 & 1/2 hours It's a gorgeous Sunday in Sydney today perfect 25 degrees and sunny..
We drove into the carpark and I could see how many people and dogs were in the offleash area, it's a fully fenced 3 acres with loads of shade and seating, there were about 24 dogs in there when we got there, and I must admit little worried about how Stef would go with so many dogs, so we ventured in onlead for about 10mins, she was excited but showed all good signs when all the dogs came to meet her, so I decided to let off lead to play.. She was fantastic, with everyone Her recall was 100% perfect, she came and sat beside me every time I called her, not once did she show any aggression or anxiety and was so polite on intros that she ended up with her own fan club I was the proudest mummy there Still can't stop smiling.. By the time we left she was known to everyone there she got patted by everyone all the dogs liked her and kept wanting to play with her and she made bestfriends with a 4mnth old Amstaff girl, they wouldn't leave each other I'm so happy with her at the moment and so proud that I got so many comments on how well behaved and obedient she was I'm bursting with pride.. Fingers crossed she keeps up the good behaviour when we go there next time

Thanks Although it isn't every day things go so well Probably why I'm so proud I was really worried that she would react badly, she has never really been offlead with other dogs, except her brothers, which went horribly And with soo many dogs there I kind of really jumped in the deep end so to speak..

Re: Bragging rights
Recall? Polite? Sitting by your side? Must be the hot weather
We have a hard frost here this morning so Bacchus has to run around to keep warm.
That's our excuse

Re: Bragging rights
Of course it is because it's cold that Bacchus is running round mad He is too sweet for it to be any other reason..
And thanks Stella, it is so nice when something clicks, it makes it all worth while

Well done Steffi on meeting loads of mates and playing politely , credit to the breed However regarding the Sun and 25 deg bit Hard frost here , does make for a nice fresh walk and very easy to pick up an evenings worth of crusty dog poo

Hope you're not suffering too much with the sunburn Kat , hate to think it might spoil a good nights sleep when you feel it every time you move in bed > > > >

It's ok, that made me laugh.. Aloe Vera sunburn gel is a stock standard item in my fridge At least in a day or 2 I will have a great start to a summer tan..

Re: Bragging rights
Perfect recall, polite, no jumping on people, no general embarrassment at how wild your puppy is? I envy you oh how I envy you. But seriously, that's really fantastic, I bet you're so proud of her! And well done to you too, since she had to learn from somewhere
Loki will get there too eventually, right? Right???

Believe me I was glowing with pride because usually she would have gone hyper in a situation like that even without the other dogs and just people, usually she is jumping up on everyone and god help you if you ignore her she gets worse But she definately put her halo on yesterday Geez imagine if she is like that all the time when we go out from now on
